Most modern productivity and alarm applications monetize user behavior by uploading sleep cycles, voice recordings, and activity timestamps to remote cloud infrastructures. Morro rejects this business model entirely.
All core alarm execution mechanics, routine schedules, and operational parameters execute locally within the operating system sandbox of your Android device. Your smartphone is the sovereign host; we maintain no remote database containing your morning habits or personal recordings.
To power the Voice Commitment feature, Morro requests runtime access to your microphone (android.permission.RECORD_AUDIO).
Strict Storage Mandate: Audio recordings are captured in 16000Hz mono AAC format and written directly into your private, isolated application storage sandbox (context.filesDir).
Voice recordings are never transmitted to cloud servers, never parsed through third-party speech-to-text APIs, and never made accessible to other applications installed on your operating system.
When you record tomorrow's commitment or preview past commitments, playback occurs exclusively via native local Android media streams (STREAM_ALARM). If you delete an alarm or uninstall Morro, your audio commitments are permanently purged from your device's filesystem registers.
Morro is funded directly by its users via subscriptions rather than surveillance advertising or corporate data brokerage. Consequently, network connectivity is activated for only one isolated operation:
No operational alarm data, audio memos, or personal task descriptions are appended to this validation handshake. If network connectivity is unavailable (e.g., Airplane Mode, dead cellular towers, or off-grid travel), cached license tokens ensure your scheduled alarms continue to execute reliably without delay.
Our public website (morrolandingpage.marhaanansari.workers.dev) is designed with the same privacy discipline as the native application:
When you choose to submit your email address on our beta waitlist form, your email is processed securely via Web3Forms over TLS encryption strictly to deliver closed-beta download links and essential launch updates. You may opt out or request complete deletion of your waitlist record at any time by contacting our founder address at marhaanansari@gmail.com.
Because Morro maintains no remote profile of your voice or daily routine, you possess total, instantaneous control over your data. Clearing app storage in Android Settings or uninstalling Morro permanently destroys all voice commitments, logs, and local configuration files.
